On Friday I decided to book a massage (the first in over a year) as I had a gift card from my birthday to use. It was awesome. From there I went to the mall to poke around and treated myself to a new Marc by Marc Jacobs wristlet-wallet (full size here)!
Okay, first let me start off by saying I have my eyes seriously set on this Alexander Wang stunner, but, I would really like a designer handbag so am saving towards that instead. Now, that’s not to say Marc Jacobs isn’t amazing, because it is, and the only reason I ‘splurged’ on it was because it was super on sale (regular $165, on sale for $67!) and I had a gift card that covered the entire cost (and I loved it).
Additionally, I haven’t been using my Coach wallet (which was a gift) for a year–I’ve been carrying my cards loose, in my purse. Actually, until last night, my old wallet was still jammed with all the cards I’ve been missing whenever I’m out somewhere and they ask me for my loyalty card or whatever… so, I’m finally back to being organized… sort of.
More pics after the jump…
I thought these sunglasses, from Old Navy, were kind of cute and different (but not for me).
Then I met Marco for an impromptu dinner at Milestone. I’m in love with their California Spring Salad and I added the salmon (those cartelized pecans though), and Marco got a steak.

The next morning I was up early with a busy day ahead of me. I headed out to the gym, stopped in at Marshalls and the Dollarama.
I grabbed a panini from Chuck’s, which is a favourite of mine, and headed home to get ready.

I headed to my girlfriend’s baby shower which was so incredibly amazing. The party planners spared no expense–the food and decor was amazing and there was about 40 people there.
There was even the sweetest sweets table to pack a little baggie to go as a thank-you. They really thought of everything.
The mama-to-be even surprised me with a birthday gift! Do you ladies remember this from my Valentine’s Day wish list Gift Guide? Love it!
Then I headed directly to meet up with another friend to celebrate my birthday (two-week long birthday! Hoorah!) at The Black Dog for dinner (more on that soon).
The chocolate pecan tart–omg, to die for!

The next morning I dragged my butt to the gym with Marco.

I decided to head out in the late afternoon and do some last minute shopping for my next Place d’Orleans video. I managed to finish it and can’t wait to share some awesome Spring Trends with you ladies!
Then home to start packing because we are headed to Italy this week for vacation! Pretty excited as it is our first time to Europe.
Okay so I know I mentioned the new tanner I was trying last weekend, and I was pretty impressed with the results of the lotion. On Friday I bought this tanning mitt because I found my fingers made some spots less even than others. This is an inexpensive one from Rexall (around $7) and I used it with the mousse product on Sunday evening and it made me really dark (there is a bronzer in it), so we’ll see how it looks in the morning, post-shower and developed tan. I wouldn’t say the mitt made it much easier, and in some spots (like my back), I had to use my hands, so, time will tell.
I grabbed groceries while I was out and Marco whipped up this red Thai curry for us and then we spent a couple hours planning some of our trip (because we are last minute like that) and booking a few hotels.
Hope you had a great weekend!
