Today’s look is all about elevated fabrics in unexpected pieces that dress up your usual shorts-and-a-tank look.

I’m all for denim shorts and tees, but this look takes it up a notch but still has you feeling like you’re in your pajamas–which was the joke I made when I was wearing this last week.  I kind of did feel like I was wearing my silk pyjamas, but with the right accessories, you can take this look outdoors.

This look is great for those super hot days, where you want minimal clothing but still want to look pulled together.  Alternatively, floaty shorts like these would look great with a long sleeved blouse or really dressed down with a basic tee and a denim jacket.  Since I’m showing so much skin, I parred down the look with flats–otherwise it felt too scandi, unless you are going out at night, perhaps.

Little update on our cat, Eve; she’s doing okay–she’s home and finally eating, we are administering the anti-nausea pill + appetite stimulant on a daily basis.  Additionally, Marco went to the vet and learned how to give her fluids through via intervenes and last night we did it together for the first time.  Eve was a champ and Marco nailed it!  It was scary, to be honest, doing that to the our sweet babe, but #teamwork!  Thanks again for all your messages and notes and advice–it means so much and I am feeling all the love.
