AN EASY DATE NIGHT OUTFIT

Everytime date night rolls around, I’m literally left standing in my closet with “nothing to wear”.

I know, bit sounds crazy, but who doesn’t experience this ridiculous phenomenon whilst running around in a towel, hair half wet while the clock is ticking down.  Girl, if this is you (too), I feel you pain.

More often than not, I’m opting for jeans for date night–I love being comfortable, they’re easy to move around in and you can virtually style them with anything and it will look great.  Throw in a statement earring & heels, no one even will notice you’re wearing a basic tee.

O U T F I T  D E T A I L S  :  PEPLUM TOP (FITTED SPLURGE)  |  ALDO EARRINGS — N/A ONLINE (SIMILAR, SIMILAR, SPLURGE)  |  JEANS20% OFF UNTIL TONIGHT! USE CODE EOTS17  |  LACE BOOTIES — OLD (SIMILAR, LOVE THESE)  |  BAG (BUDGET FRIENDLY)

Like I said, I’m usually looking for some sort of different top to pair with a date night look, and since we’re veering into chilly weather, a skimpy, slinky tank isn’t going to do the trick (not that that’s typically my style anyway, but you get my drift).  This look, however, will work with an oversized sweater just as well as it does with this oversized peplum top (ahem, perfect for one too many cocktails).

Lastly, I wanted to quickly touch on the statement earring trend that is blowing up!  I’m a huge necklace girl, and almost always opt for that over earrings, but I can’t help but jump on this trend again because it truly is an easy way to make an outfit pop.  I love the red tasseled style of these earrings and while standing in the store I even said to the sales associate, ‘I’m not sure why I’m so drawn to these, but I am… I’ll pay debit’.  Since then, I’ve purchased a couple more pairs of inexpensive statement earrings.  It’s an easy way to add something trendy into your closet too, without breaking the bank–and find an answer to date night outfit woes!

Hope you girls had a great week, cheers to the (freaking) weekend.  We just got hit with true fall weather so I think I’ll be busting these earrings out again but with a cozy sweater and leather pants (and these peep toe booties).

Lastly, a new video went up on my YouTube channel last night–it’s under 10 minutes but it’s kind of deep and personal…

Happy Friday!
