Good morning & happy Monday! How was your weekend? It was busy over here, and that wasn’t totally planned, and after a long and hectic week, I really needed some down time but everything was an enjoyable busy that it felt pretty nice.
Friday night was super low key, we grabbed Vietnamese take out and I finished watching season three of Grace & Frankie. I saw online that season four doesn’t come out until 2018 (wahhh) so need to start a new series. Marco and I love getting into a series, but that was one I was watching solo and it was nice when I had time to myself to indulge in a show without waiting on someone, if you know what I mean.
On Saturday morning, I got up just before 8am and started cleaning and tidying up the condo. I had planned to get some of that out of the way on Friday night but it just. didn’t. happen. I made some pancakes and later we headed out to the gym.

After the gym, we went home for a bit to relax and then decided to go out and explore the city a little. We stopped in at Mill Street for lunch for the first time and had an awesome experience. From there we wandered downtown to check out some furniture stores and eventually over to Home Sense & Best Buy. We didn’t buy anything but gathered some ideas–and even more ideas of what we don’t like, ha.
Later on we watched the movie, The Founder, all about how McDonald’s got it’s start. Such a fascinating story, and not so much a documentary but more of a movie–it was really good!

This photo makes me laugh! That’s Lisa, my photographer, standing on a shaky stool we have.
On Sunday, my girlfriend Katie came over so we could shoot some flatlays for her business. We spent about an hour setting a few up before Lisa came over to work her magic. Katie snapped this silly photo of me holding Lisa so she wouldn’t tip over. We were joking about the extremes people will go to to get the shot–seriously, it’s a little ridiculous (but oh so pretty in the end!).

Later that afternoon, Lisa and I shot a few outfits for the blog before I came home for sushi and evening in.
I have mentioned this on Instastories a few times, but there is a new SHOP INSTAGRAM STORIES menu item at the top of the blog under the SHOP tab. If you see me wearing anything on Snapchat or Instastories, I’ll always link it there, so be sure to check it out if you see something you like.
Hope you girls had a great weekend! Hard to believe April is coming to a close, and I’m loving that I can finally wear open toes and a lightweight jacket. Bring on the summer heat!
See you tomorrow! xo
