Hey girls–hoping on for a quick outfit post, wore this look a couple weeks ago on the weekend and am obsessed with this top. It’s another one from the curvy section at Forever 21. I have the olive green one from the regular section from last year (full outfit post here), but always found it to be quite cropped–which works with high waisted denim, but not so much when you want to wear anything else. Since things tend to run fairly small on me at F21, I always like to check out the curvy section because they usually have different pieces, or the same pieces but slightly larger and often in different colours.
Since off shoulder tops are so on trend right now, picking up a few at a lower price point is right up my alley. I can’t exactly wear them to my office job, and only wearing them on weekends doesn’t really give them a lot of air time, so budget-friendly (ahem, this one is under $20!) is what I’m talkin’ about. Here’s a super similar look I wore last year with white skinnies.
O U T F I T D E T A I L S : OFF SHOULDER TOP | RAG & BONE JEANS (SIMILAR) | WOVEN BEACH BAG — BUDGET FRIENDLY! (ON MY WISH LIST) | DESIGNER INSPIRED SUNGLASSES — UNDER $15!
Okay, let’s talk about the bag. Have you girls been noticing the daytime beach bag look popping up? Love it! Talk about pulling double duty and getting your money’s worth. The key is to ensure the beach/woven bag has some structure to it, and keep your outfit on the girly side. Read: ruffles, frills, maxi dresses and casual heels. You want to elevate the look from going to the beach, but at the same time, this isn’t the bag you will be pairing with office attire. I kept things pretty easy with a neutral colour palette, wedges, and I love the look off off the shoulder with some fitted flares, feels so modern 70’s!
