CANADA DAY / FOURTH OF JULY OUTFIT INSPO

Canada Day and the Fourth of July are right around the corner and I always try to incorporate a little bit of red into my outfit, which is usually a struggle because it’s not a colour I tend to buy much of, but this year it’s a no brainer what I’ll be wearing!  I snagged this top in the curvy section, which I shared on my FB page a while back.  I simply purchased this top in one of the smaller sizes, and it is a great fit–not just for tall girls either, my girlfriend who is quite petite (almost a foot shorter than me and very fit), also bought it and loves it!

All that to say, don’t discount the curvy section if you’re not quite in what you think is the curvy range–sizing is all over the map these days at all stores, and really, the size on the inside of a garment doesn’t matter.  Wear what fits and what feels good, and you will look your very best (and if it bothers you that much, just cut the tag out).

What are your plans for the long weekend?  We are hanging around, with a few social events, but generally planning to keep it low key.  Canada is celebrating it’s 150th this year and there are going to be some mad celebrations happening in downtown Ottawa, but we plan to just stay home and enjoy some sunshine (I hope!).

We are having our deck built on the back of the house and we are so excited for summer parties, BBQ’s and dining al fresco!  It’s coming along so we are really hoping it’s done in time for the weekend.  We won’t have anywhere to sit, but it doesn’t matter, all in due time!

Happy Thursday!  C’mon weekend!
