FRAYED A-LINE DENIM MINI SKIRT

Coming up on that weekend real quick!

Today’s post is all about the a-line mini skirt.  These are popping up everywhere and becoming a huge trend for summer.  Mine is actually a skort, so hello comfort and style, which makes it super wearable.  Pair it with a crop top & heels or dress it down with flats and a long sleeve tee, like I did last weekend for brunch with my girlfriends.

The denim mini is a fun twist on the denim shorts we’ve all been wearing for the past few years, and just offers something different.  I love that most of them are high-waisted, it really elongates the legs and nips you in at the smallest part of the waist (should you decide to wear something form fitting–but you know me, I love a good flowy top!).

We are slowly getting settled at the new house, and out of the condo.  It feels good to now only have to focus on one place, versus all the back-and-forth we were doing over the last week!  I had my girl friend over last night for dinner and it was great to catch up and enjoy the space with her.  It’s an exciting time having friends and family come by and see our place–despite the upstairs looking like a hot mess, with boxes everywhere.

Also, have been on a crazy hunt for stools for the kitchen, and starting to feel my eyes bugging out of my head.  I really want to incorporate some rose gold/copper and/or brushed gold into our home–everything is very modern with a lot of chrome, which I love, but want to bring in a mixed metals element.  I found an amazing Australian company that makes the most gorgeous stools, and keep coming back to them.  They are definitely on the pricey side, so I’ve been hesitating, but I’ve scrolled through hundreds of pages of stools online, and nothing seems to compare… so might have to go with them, just not sure how long it will take to have them made and shipped all the way from Oz!

Hope you girls are having a great day.  Happy Thursdance!
