Eep! It’s finally here–early access for the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale for Canadians! Which means, if you applied for the credit card, you can shop the sale three days in advance of it opening to the public.
I have been on pins and needles, pining through the Nordstrom website daily in preparation for this day. My wish list is a mile long and I’m heading into the store today to try all the things on… and share with you, of course!
If you’re interested in seeing what I’m trying and buying, follow along on Instastories. If you’re unfamiliar with Instastories, it’s essentially videos and photos in real time. Kind of a behind-the-scenes sneak peek, if you will.
That said, if you didn’t get the credit card, it’s totally fine because public access is going to be awesome this Friday, July 21 and anyone can shop then. Also, while getting in early is great, disclaimer, if you already have a credit card (or many), and or shouldn’t be getting this one, don’t. Come hang with me and you’ll be all set for Friday.
Alright, let’s talk about this sunshine yellow bell sleeve top!
Mine is from Zara, and I nabbed it a few weeks ago but super excited to share this one that is on sale and almost identical. I will actually be trying it on in the baby blue colour because this cut is so great.
Easily paired with denim, dress pants or a skirt, it’s a statement top that is versatile and packs a punch yet simple.
Now you know I’m such a neutral lover, I feel like seeing me in brights is pretty rare, but I’ve been totally drawn to colour this summer and am totally embracing it! I’ve already worn this top a couple times and it seems to cheer everyone up–love that.
These jeans are the Rag & Bone Skinny jeans (colour is Dearborn) I scored at the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale last year. These were my the pair of designer denim that converted me. Before that, I never felt it was worth spending a little more on jeans, but now I’m a full believer. I would say I’ve gotten my money’s worth since I wear these constantly–from casual days at work, out on weekends, casual with slides or dressed up with OTK boots.
The best part? They brought them back for the sale this year, with a slighter higher waist! Ah! I almost want to buy a second pair, because they are that good. If you’re on the fence about designer denim, please give these a shot. They have an amazing stretch to them, suck you and hold you in, are almost as comfy as leggings & slim you out. The wash is dark so it works in a plethora of occasions, and I love the raw hem–it’s subtle, but adds a little edge to the jeans. If you buy one pair from the sale, let it be these! And then message me on Instagram and share–I’d love to hear from you!
Don’t forget to follow along on Instastories–I’ll try to Snapchat as well (@acoest1984)–today to see what I’m trying on and I’ll be sharing an even more in-depth post about everything from sizing to pricing to favourites and more! xo
