STRIPED PALAZZO PANTS & OFF SHOULDER RUFFLE TOP

Happy Friday!  How’s your week been?  What are your weekend plans?

I’m so excited for this weekend–it’s been a bit of a long week at work, and Marco was also away so I am so excited to see him tonight.  Additionally, my cousin is coming in from out of town to stay with us for the weekend (#secondhouseguestever) and my sister is coming over on Saturday and the three of us will have a mini birthday celebration for her (the big 3-0, woot woot!).

O U T F I T  D E T A I L S  :  OFF SHOULDER RUFFLE TOP  |  SIMILAR CHOKER  |  ZARA STRIPED PANTS — SOLD OUT (ALMOST IDENTICAL, CROPPED STYLE)  |  ZARA FLATS (SIMILAR)  |  SUNGLASSES  |  BAG — ON SALE! UNDER $25

Palazzo pants are starting to pop up and now is a great time to grab a pair and take advantage.  When the weather is still nice and there are various shoe options to choose from, this is the time to break out a wide leg pant.  I am loving the striped trend we are seeing on pants currently, but prints on wide leg pants in general is really blowing up.  I recently purchased another pair with dark green leaves printed on them and wore them for our housewarming.

Now as far as styling goes, the way I’m wearing these today would be great for a date night or brunch with the girls or family.  To make the pants more office appropriate, pair with a snug fitting button down or a silk blouse.  On the flip side, pants like these would pair so well with a bodysuit, if you’re into them–when you have a lot of volume on the bottom, a great balance is doing something more form fitting on top.  Also, don’t be afraid to pair colour with your patterned pants–I would totally wear blush, red, bright pink, yellow, grey or light blue with these pants.  It doesn’t have to be white.

I think that’s all for now, hope you girls have a wonderful weekend!
