Grey has been a favourite colour for me for a few years now, sometimes I wonder if it’s surpassed my all time fave of white, but I digress.
I love the look of an outfit in one colour palette, and with so many matching sets being all the rage currently, it’s easy to get matchy-matchy and look chic.
Today’s look through, is more of a casual pairing of items you may already have in your closet, and if not, hopefully a little inspiration next time you’re out shopping.

When dressing in one colour from head to toe, it can look really great if you stick to a few basic rules:
(1) CHOOSE A SIMILAR COLOUR TONE
Both of my greys are a medium tone, and while I’m not against pairing a dark grey and light grey together, I love the look so much more when the colour is of similar tone. Keep them close together to create a seamless yet effortless look.
(2) PLAY WITH TEXTURE
The look is meant to be cohesive, but that doesn’t mean you need a matching set to pull it off. Play up various textures to add interest, like denim + cotton, leather + chiffon, or something flowy with something snug.
(3) STICK TO NEUTRALS
If you’re unsure about a full head-to-toe one-colour ensemble, start with neutrals. Neutrals are a great way to try out something match-matchy without feeling too bold. All white would be another super pretty combo with some tan sandals.
