The weekend is still going for us over here, since it’s Thanksgiving Monday today, so we get a long weekend! I’m spending it getting some work done and will be visiting my friends and their new baby a little later. However, I wanted to share what I got up to for the other parts of the weekend, so let’s jump in…
On Saturday we hit the gym, went for breakfast and ran a couple errands. It was a late start to the day, so by the time we got home, it was time to get ready for Thanksgiving dinner.
We left in the late afternoon and headed over to my parent’s house for a feast. My sister, her husband and boys came and my grandparents too. We had turkey and all the fixings, plus three pies for dessert–heaven!

On Sunday morning, after doing some stuff around the house, Marco and I headed out to the gym.
Got a great workout in and headed home for shakes and to rest.
The chairs below are sherpa and we ordered them for the new house and had them delivered once we moved in. I was a little hesitant on these chairs, knowing our cat Eve would love them always be lying on them (even if she did it when we weren’t looking 😉 ), but in reality, she instead always lies underneath them! It’s super cute and one less thing to lint-roller!

I headed out to the mall in the afternoon–it’s been a minute since I’ve been there. Oh man, it was nice to have a few hours to myself to just browse and take my time.
Normally we would celebrate Thanksgiving on the actual day (Sunday or Monday), but with extended families it’s always complicated, as you know, so we had ours on Saturday which turned out to be great to have the day to myself.
Also! I know it may look funny that I’m wearing slides, but, we are having unseasonably warm weather lately and I’m taking advantage! We spend about six months in snow, so I’m taking sandal weather while I still can, lol.
Okay so the sweater above is so adorable. I tried on the large (top photo) and medium (bottom photo) and ended up preferring the medium. It definitely has a slimmer fit through the body, which I think it’s supposed to have, which balances out the voluminous sleeves.
The 80’s are so back (even though they were back before) and I’m seeing a ton of big sleeves, polka dots, shoulder pads, shiny pleather, pleats and more.
I got home and Marco whipped us up some Vietnamese food! He’s been cooking up a storm over the past couple weeks, which is such a fabulous change. I definitely struggle with, “What’s for dinner?” on the reg, so to have him take over every now and again is wonderful.
