WEEKEND RECAP: IPHONE SNAPS

Hi girls!  How was your long weekend?

Things were kind of lazy and boring around these parts, but good to have no real plans and just time to do stuff around the house (or not 😉 ).  However, we did eat some good food, take a mini road trip to NY state and try out a new restaurant here in Ottawa.

Let’s jump in!

On Saturday morning, after a gym sesh, we hopped in the car and drove down to New York State to grab a few items from our PO box.

Very excited to share I picked up the bridesmaid dresses!  They are so pretty and I’m crossing my fingers they fit because otherwise we are kind of f’ed… so, there’s that.  Ha.

On Sunday night, we went to a new Korean spot called Table Sodam, and it was so good!

Recommended by a friend, we decided to check it out and loved it.  It’s a small spot in old Ottawa south (super close to the Glebe), with about 10 tables, and the two owners are the chef/server/hostess.  We were shocked at how quickly they made our food to order despite it being a full house.

I went with the #4 and Marco had the #5, both of which come on a tray with an assortment of side dishes (kimchi, sauce, greens, a mini potato, jicama, etc.) plus a soup and your main dish in a skillet.  It was delish!  Highly recommend and also budget friendly.

The next morning, post workout, Marco made us this amazing egg scramble hash thing he does.  OMG.  I could eat this everyday!

It’s pretty simple–scrambled eggs, grated cheese, black beans, and home made hashbrowns all done in a skillet and topped with salsa.  I’m not sure exactly how it does it, but it’s so flavourful and I love the mixture of textures and flavours all at once.

And finally, on Labour Day we spent the day just catching up on Netflix and just hanging out.  we went out for sushi that night, chatted about the wedding and then went home and watched The Mummy with Tom Cruise (spoiler alert: don’t watch it! lol).

Hope you girls all had a great Labour Day weekend!
