Hey there! I know I’ve been on some radio silence here for a few days—I’ve just been working with some serious Blogger/creative block and my heart wasn’t really in it for posting. I mentioned it on Instastories, if you follow there, I’m still doing my morning walks/updates so that’s where I tend to be ‘on’ if things around these parts are a little quieter 😉
All that to say, it was a great weekend on this end so let’s jump into the weekend recap!
On Friday night, Marco and I hit up our fave ramen spot, Sansotei, for dinner. Afterwards we just relaxed at home and chit-chatted about our week.

On Saturday, I went down to New York state to pick up the dress I ordered for my bachelorette! I didn’t snap any pictures because I went on my own, but I did also grab this steam mop, which I’ve used twice and am liking thus far.
That evening, we went to my grandparent’s to celebrate their 67th wedding anniversary. They ordered chinese and there was cake and it was really nice. My Grammy hasn’t been doing well, if you recall I mentioned she was recently in the hospital, but she’s out now and while she’s now in a wheelchair full time, there is definitely a big improvement which is positive.

Afterwards, Marco and I grabbed some coffee and poked around Home Sense then grabbed some food (second dinner! 😛 ) at Pihro—love this place for rice/grain bowls.

On Sunday, I went to watch my nephew run in a charity race and then stopped at the Hudson Bay outlet (Zellers building) and found a couple new sweaters for fall!
So excited to wear that sweater dress with some tall, tan boots.

That evening, we hosted Marco’s softball team and friends for a big BBQ, which was awesome. Everyone brought sides and desserts and we did the mains. The weather was super hot and we rotated between the back deck and inside with the air conditioning (and football game 😉 ).
