Hey girls, hope you’re having a great weekend. I wanted to pop on here tonight and share a few snaps from the weekend since I have a Cyber Monday post that will be going up at midnight.
We finished decorating our Christmas tree and I picked up these sweet new ornaments that represents our new status 😉 I always like to buy a few new ornaments each year and we put these ones from and centre.
I found the ornaments at Home Sense but was originally looking at something like this. Slippers can be found here but these ones are much more budget friendly.
On Friday night, we went over to my parent’s place for our annual family tree decorating!
Our nephews were there and did most of the decorating 😉 which was adorable. We had a great dinner and my mom had done a bunch of Christmas baking which I think we all appreciated.
On Saturday, we spent all day in the kitchen prepping for our second annual Friendsgiving (see last year’s here). We did a traditional turkey dinner + Marco whipped up Bajan Mac Pie–which was a huge hit with everyone!
We were 16 and everyone brought wine, apps and desserts. It was turkey comas all around and a great evening.

BTW these slippers saved my feet, being on them from about 10am – midnight. Marco and I both got in bed last night like, ‘That was so fun! My feet are killlllling me’, but they hurt so much less than had I been barefoot all day. I literally haven’t taken these off since getting them just before the wedding at the end of October.
And finally, today hasn’t been the best day. Marco was in a car accident (someone hit him). Fortunately, he’s okay, but much of our day was spent at the scene of the accident, then on the phone with insurance and at the police station. Someone hit him and I’m just so thankful he is okay (the other man is okay too) as it could have been so much worse. We have been spending the rest of the afternoon hunkered down on the couch.
