Hello from Saint Lucia! I wanted to share this outfit, and also an alternative way to work your one-piece swimsuit into your actual wardrobe–not just for the pool.
I shared this amazing one-shoulder, ruffled swimsuit (under $30!) about a month ago during the Try-On Tuesday swimwear post and you girls know how much I love this one! The fit is so good, it’s great quality and the striping is super flattering. I love the layered ruffle and wanted to wear this more than just to lay out so paired it with some flared white denim and slides for dinner.
O U T F I T D E T A I L S : STRIPED SWIMSUIT — UNDER $30! | RAG & BONE JEANS — OLD (SIMILAR, BUDGET FRIENDLY) | ZARA SLIDES — OLD (JUST GOT THESE) | ZARA BAG (SIMILAR) | SUNGLASSES — UNDER $12 | SHELL BRACELET — LOCAL PURCHASE IN ST. LUCIA (SIMILAR)
I typically pack a couple pairs of pants (+ a denim jacket) when heading south because you never know if the evenings will be chilly. It was super warm every night in St. Lucia so no jacket required with this outfit, but it did cool off from the daytime so pants were still comfortable.
I snagged this cute circle bag during the Zara sale back in January and never shared it because it was already sold out online, but was saving it for this vacation. I brought a couple other bags with me for evening but ended up wearing this one with pretty much everything! I love this similar one, the gold handles on it are so chic too. I plan to wear this in the summertime as well with denim shorts and sundresses. You’ll see it make it’s appearance a few more times when I share my St. Lucia recap 😉
I totally would have worn these earrings (click here for the earrings if you’re in Canada) I shared with you girls a few weeks back except I couldn’t find them anywhere in my luggage until the last day! Ugh! I knew I had packed them (and some of my other statement earrings) in a small jewelry bag, but could not for the life of me locate them. I thought maybe I left them at home or worse, had been stolen. Sure enough, they were deep in a pocket I had checked three times. *face palm* Clearly I hadn’t checked deep enough!
And then here is another, even more casual way to wear this swimsuit while on vacay or this summer:
