TRY-ON TUESDAY | SHOE EDITION

Hello hello and welcome back to another Try-On Tuesday! Today is allllll about the shoes but I’m also going to link everything I’m wearing as well. Almost everything is available and if not, I’ve shared a similar option.

Per usual, today’s post coincides with today’s Instagram Stories, so if you haven’t seen that yet, you can check out how all the pieces move in video + additional styling notes here. I’ve also linked every single piece on my LiketoKnow.it profile, and if you’d like to follow there, you will often see outfits that don’t necessarily make it to the ‘gram or blog (eg. maybe it’s something I’m wearing on Instastories).

With that, let’s jump into the try-on!

OVER THE KNEE BOOTS

SIMILAR CASHMERE SWEATER | WHITE DENIM | SIMILAR LEOPARD SCARF

Okay, you girls know that I purchased these over the knee boots in black back in December or January, and since getting them, I’ve worn them a ton–including out dancing the other night. First, they hug the leg like no other OTK boot I’ve ever tried and they actually stay up. I wore leather pants the other night and between walking, sitting and dancing a lot, I never pulled them up once–kind of shocking, but also super amazing.

The low block heel makes them easy to walk in and I just loved the other colours so much that I had to snag them! I’m wearing a size 41–so size up, because they run a tad small. I envisioned wearing these with a sweater dress (see below) but wanted to style them for a more spring look with the light coloured neutrals above.

These are currently 40% off (use code FRESH40); you will be so happy you did come next fall 😉

OVER THE KNEE BOOTS

HALSTON SWEATER DRESS (SIMILAR)

NUDE HEEL SANDALS

PINK DENIM JACKET | LACE UP BODYSUIT | H&M DENIM — OLD (SIMILAR)

When we were in Vancouver (photo recap post is coming, I promise! We literally ate our way through that vacation lol), I ended up attending an event with Marco that I hadn’t planned to go to. He told me the day before *face palm* and I had only packed one pair of sneakers and one pair of boots on our trip. I was able to pull together an outfit with things I packed (dark denim & a bright sweater), but I need a pair of heels to take it from street to dinner.

I literally had an hour to rush to the mall and find something that: (1) would work with the outfit, (2) I could walk 20+ blocks in, and (3) that I would actually wear this spring and get my money’s worth.

I ended up finding these block heel sandals and they are so good! Similar to the Steve Madden pair I wore a ton last summer and the year before (which, TBH are almost worn out), and super comfortable! Since there was no snow, it was +15C and the streets were dry, open toe was fine and I wanted something I would benefit from long after the trip was over.

Back to the shoes 😛 They have a block heel and the thick ankle strap is actually a large elastic. It’s got good stretch to it, and isn’t too firm that you can’t get your foot in, but not so loose your foot will flop. You can also wear the strap two ways: crossed in front or crossed behind the ankle. These fit true to size and I’m wearing a size 10. They also come in black.

These came in a close second but definitely couldn’t have walked as much as we did in them, and I also liked these but they didn’t have my size. As an aside, I have these (which they’ve restocked in all sizes) and love them!

OVER THE KNEE BOOTS

GREY TEE | GREY DENIM

I cannot get enough of these boots! I’m telling you, if you’ve been looking for an OTK boot with a block heel, these will not disappoint. The toe really elongates the leg, and they work on all heights–I’m tall and they come way over my knee, which I love.

I love a good monochromatic look, and grey is an easy way to do it that isn’t black, works for spring or fall, and is likely already sitting in your closet. Sometimes I’ll mix and match my greys (dark with light), and sometimes I’ll go for a mix of medium tones that are more similar–there are no rules.

These boots are grey but more on the mushroom grey side, so there is definitely a hint of brown. If I had to choose between the cognac colour above and these, I would go with this colour because it’s muted and will work with grey, black and browns.

Again, I’m wearing a size 41–so size up because these run a tad small.

These are currently 40% off (use code FRESH40).

ESPADRILLES SLIDES

DENIM JACKET | BAND TEE | WHITE DENIM SKIRT

I la-la-love these slides! They are a slide take on an espadrilles sandal–they are woven rope on the sole (comfy) and the strap, which is such a cool detail and unlike anything else I’ve seen. At the same time, they are very neutral and versatile.

I ordered these for our trip to St. Lucia but they didn’t arrive in time! Womp. I will definitely be getting tons of use out of them this summer though–this style is so great to throw on and go. They work with sundresses, shorts, skirts as seen above and denim. I like to keep a pair of slides in my car or throw a pair in my bag in case something calls for a comfier shoe post 9-to-5 😉

Hope you girls have a great day! xo
