Hi strangers–I know, it’s been a while.
If you’ve reached out to me, you know I’ve been under the weather and have needed this long-winded break. I didn’t mean to leave you girls high and dry, but at the same time couldn’t post and when I could, needed to just take the break and focus on my health.
I’m okay and am slowly turning a corner to feeling better 🙂 Thanks for sticking by me and understanding–this is the longest I’ve been away from the blog in almost 10 years (!). Usually I would worry and feel anxious, but truly just needed to let go and be okay with it.
I have so many things I want to share with you–outfits, Try-On’s, weekends, food, Cancun recap, etc. but I need to just do it at my pace. Hope you understand?
With that, let’s get into a few recent happenings & purchases…
Last weekend we went to our friend’s place for their son’s birthday and they had a full petting zoo come, it was amazing! There were goats, sheep, a lama, ducks, a bunny, the miniature donkey (above) and more. It was such a hit for not just the kids, but the parents too! Then this past weekend we celebrated Father’s Day with my family with brunch which was so nice. My girlfriend also threw a jewelry party and I found a couple things which should arrive this week (will share once they are in).
We have finally got some amazing summer weather here in Ottawa, just as of this weekend. I’ve made a few purchases and plan to bring back Try-On Tuesdays, but till then, here are a few sneak peaks:
Just ordered this dress in both patterns (hoping it’s long enough for me).
I gifted my mom with this shampoo & conditioner for Mother’s Day–these are the best and I’ve been using them for months. The conditioner really helps with tangles and has an amazing unisex scent that lasts for days.

Just got this scent in my favourite dry shampoo and loving it.
I’ve been loving this song and this song lately (great for the car and dancing around the house). If you’re looking for something more mellow, this and this are my current faves.
I needed a new steamer so finally pulled the trigger on this one (after succumbing to my iron for months 😉 ). Will let you know how I like it.

And finally, Zara is having their huge semi-annual sale. Things are going quick so I placed an order the other night including this pretty blouse (still available in most sizes) for work mostly, to go with pencil skirts and skinny pants. I ordered these cropped wide leg pants before and they are now part of the sale. My black fringe beach bag (seen here) is on sale now too. I also ordered these espadrilles, but they aren’t on sale.
