Hello hello! So excited to be sharing a Try-On Tuesday for the first time in months–and a non-pregnancy version, just like old times, you guys!
Today is allllll about that cozy, comfy, lounge style (that I’m currently living in on maternity leave). As always, everything I’m sharing in today’s blog post is on IG Stories so you can see how it moves and fits in video, plus additional sizing notes + each outfit has already been shared on my LTK profile (which you can always view without having the app through my blog, at the top click INSTAGRAM (opens in a new tab)”>SHOP –> INSTAGRAM). I’ve linked everything in this post & everything is currently on sale!
Let’s jump in…
Matching jogger sets are huge & I’m loving this neon set (that also comes in seven other colour options). The sweater is definitely oversized and has a balloon sleeve detail. I’m wearing a size medium (which is my pre-pregnancy size, but I definitely am not at my pre-pregnancy weight) so I would say it runs very big and you can likely size down.
The shorts have an elastic waistband + drawstring and are very comfortable. They have a baseball style hem, meaning they go higher o the sides which is super flattering on the leg, and the inseam is a little longer with is nice for the inner thigh. They are a roomier fit and I’m wearing a size medium which is great (again, you can likely size down). And, pockets! Need I say more? 😉
This might be my favourite purchase of the bunch! This matching jogger set is so cute, stylish and most importantly, comfortable. I absolutely love the washed look of the fabric, and it’s a thick cotton but not furry on the inside so will be great for spring.
This set comes in multiple colours but I am crazy about olive green so it was a no brainer. The hoodie is oversized but not as crazy as the neon pink one above. I’m wearing a medium and couldn’t have gone smaller.
The joggers on the other hand, are extremely oversized and after reading the reviews, I nervously opted for a small (would usually be a medium or even large since I had the baby just seven weeks ago) and they are actually a great fit! They are still slouchy but not so big they don’t look flattering. I would highly suggest you size down.
Okay I lied, it’s definitely a toss up for my favourite between the olive sweatsuit and this oversized tie dye sweatshirt! I opened this when it came in the mail and immediately put it on–it’s so good! Tie dye is a huge trend for spring 2020 and I’m here for it; especially love this neutral take as well since I’ve been seeing a ton of tie dye in colour everywhere else.
The sweatshirt comes in several colours, including non-tie dye options, and runs oversized. I had asked for a few similar sweatshirts for Christmas when I was pregnant and my parents got them for me–in size large. I wore them a lot at the end of my pregnancy, and still do on the day-to-day. I decided to go with a size large in this tie dye one and it’s definitely very roomy. I considered swapping it for a medium, but I liked that with the large I had some length to make it work with leggings (was worried a medium would bit just that much shorter and not work). Also, I love the oversized look, especially when you bunch the sleeves up. So, verdict is to go with your usual size or size up for an even more oversized look.
You girls know I love my Free People thermals (and I know a lot of you do, too), so when I saw this dupe, I had to try it. It’s a really good option for a fraction of the price and I’ve worn it every week since getting it over a month ago! It’s so easy to throw on and go, is long enough to pair with leggings and very flattering.
I will say, it is a little thicker/cozier than the Free People material, and doesn’t run oversized. I actually ordered both a medium and large because I wasn’t sure and ended up keeping the medium. There are also thumbholes on the sleeves, but I find my arms are a tad too long to use them.
This is one of the sweatshirts I got for Christmas and have worn a ton (also have it in bright pink and green)! It looks like this colour isn’t available anymore, but they have other options (love that washed olive and the pink clay!). It’s cozy and oversized and the quality is just fabulous. I’m wearing a large because I got it when I was pregnant and wanted to fit the belly at the end. That said, I’m still wearing and loving, so go with your true size or size up for a more oversized fit like me.
The shorts have an elastic waistband + drawstring and are very comfortable. They have a baseball style hem, meaning they go higher o the sides which is super flattering on the leg, and the inseam is a little longer with is nice for the inner thigh. This is the same sweatshirt as above but in this gorgeous muted leopard–love! I snagged this after the Christmas gift ones because I was wearing them so much, and the price is definitely right now that it’s deeply discounted and around $20! Also love the muted grey camo option too.
Again, this runs oversized and I went with a large to ensure it fit my post-pregnancy body. I would say it does fit true to size though, but if you want it even roomier, size up (like I did).
Finally, if you feel up to it, you can head over to IG Stories to see the full try on in video today. xo
