Safe to say tie-dye is making a huuuuuge mark as one of spring’s biggest trends and I’m here for it! It’s not Tuesday, but I couldn’t wait so today I’m rounding up a bunch of really affordable tie-dye pieces I recently snagged (and a few other items) in case you want to partake in the trend without breaking the bank.
As usual, everything I’m sharing here today is live on Instagram Stories, plus I’ve linked everything on my LTK profile (which usually goes up the night before, if you’re ever curious).
As an aside, if you’re new around here, I had a baby two months ago and am absolutely not back to my pre-pregnancy weight (former sizing/measurements here).
Let’s jump in!
TIE-DYE SWEATSHIRT | TIE-DYE SHORTS | PINK SLIDES | NECKLACE
This set is definitely one of my favourites of the bunch so far, and unlike anything I’ve seen on anyone else (love that). I love that it’s colourful but not overly saturated and looks super cute as a set or break up the pieces to pair with something solid to work them on their own.
I sized up in the sweatshirt to an extra large (I tried the large, but it just wasn’t as oversized as I hoped). The fabric is a true sweatshirt material, but it’s thick and a little bit stiffer, so doesn’t slouch as much if you’re in a more fitted size.
The shorts run high-waisted and they have a really cute drawstring detail with wrapped ends. I’m wearing a large which is a good fit.
The slides are so good and so inexpensive–but look like they would be $50! I took my usual size (10) and love how they look with joggers, jeans or would be so cute with a swimsuit/cover-up sitch.
LONG SLEEVE TEE (ALSO IN WHITE) | TIE-DYE JOGGERS (ALSO IN GREY) | SNEAKERS | NECKLACE
Okay, I feel like these slouchy joggers are perfect if (1) you don’t love girly tie-dye colours, and/or (2) just want to dip your toe in the tie-dye waters 😉 These are a cozy, thick material with fleece on the inside, so perfect for cozying up in the evening or wearing them out if you’re still in a cooler climate (hello, me!). I’m wearing a large and probably could have even done a medium because they run big.
I paired mine with a long sleeve tee that’s slightly roomy, but love the look of an oversized jogger with a snug fitting tee/tank or even a crop top. I’m definitely not going to be rocking a crop top anytime soon 😛 but still think that look is super cute if you have the body for it!
SWEATER — OLD | JOGGER SHORTS (ALSO IN PINK & BLACK) | SNAKE PRINT SLIDES | NECKLACE
These sweatshorts are super comfortable and cozy and the perfect look for that off duty look without trying too hard. I love that the inseam is a little longer (need that lately, post baby) and the sewn cuff is cute. I’m wearing a size large which is great and really wanted to snag these in all three colours (but had to show some retraint 😉 ).
These are the same style slides as the marble ones above, but I had to get the trendy snakeskin print–they look so good with a dress, shorts, denim or even sweats. Again, they look way more expensive than $15, are comfortable (I walked in them for 2kms on our trip) and would be great if you’re hanging out pool side or running errands (or even as a house shoe/slipper).
CARDIGAN — OLD | TIE-DYE NIGHTY | SLIPPERS | NECKLACE
This tie-dye nighty is super soft and comfortable. It has spaghetti straps and a built-in shelf bra. I went with an extra large and it’s roomy and comfortable. If you wanted it to be more snug fitting, I would suggest going with your true size.
I ordered these slippers to take with me when we travel, for use in hotel rooms so I’m not wearing my usual house ones and bringing back unwanted germs. They are so soft and really easy to slide into, plus come in a couple colours as well. They are definitely not the quality of my favourite home slippers, but for under $15, I might need to order another pair because I wore them non-stop on our last trip and plan to bring them on all future travel (whenever that will be).
TIE-DYE HOODIE (ALSO IN CURVY SIZES) | TIE-DYE SHORTS | PINK SLIDES | NECKLACE
Okay, technically this isn’t a set, the fabrics are different and the website doesn’t pair them together, but the blues match and I loved the look. This hoodie is real sweatshirt material and so soft and cozy! I sized up to an extra large and it’s oversized and exactly the look I was hoping for (bonus: it also comes in curvy/plus sizing).
The shorts are super comfortable and more like a pajama material, but when paired with the sweatshirt, they don’t look like something you can only wear around the house. The waistband is thick with elastic and there is also a drawstring. I went with a large and they are a great fit and again, so soft! I would totally wear these to bed as well.
TIE-DYE PJ TEE | TIE-DYE PJ SHORTS (ALSO AVAILABLE IN PANTS) | PINK SLIDES | NECKLACE
These pieces are marketed as a pyjamas and are the softest material–so comfortable! These are the same material as the blue tie-dye shorts above.
I’m wearing a large in both pieces, which is a good fit and very comfortable; these are perfect for the weekend and hanging around the house but still looking cute.
