best of Nordstrom anniversary sale

The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale preview is open on the Canadian site so I took a little time to go through it and find my favourite items to share with you girls.

First, I’m pleased to see the selection is so much better than last year–many more options than last year, tons of pieces from the American site are available for us Canadians this year (woot! Progress!), and more brands this year, too. Keep reading to see my picks…

I like to shop the sale by going to the Women’s section first, then selecting all the brands I like. This will give me a filtered search of pieces I know I’ll love. If I have time, then I go back and just go through the pages, without narrowing my search down.

As always they’ve included the Spanx leggings in the sale, which I’m wearing above (similar jacket). I purchased these leggings a few years back and they’ve been a staple in my wardrobe. I bought XL because I was newly pregnant, and wore them until about 8 months pregnant. I still wear them now, 18 months post-partum, and although the waist band is slightly loose, they don’t fall down or sag–love that! It’s actually slightly flattering with that slight gap at the top when paired with a cropped top.

I’m so excited to see this All Saints leather jacket is part of the Canadian sale! Last year jackets were not included and I was so bummed because I had see so many good options

Love everything about these cool joggers–a different cut than anything I own and the colour is on point.

If you’re ditching your skinny jeans, these are the straight leg pair I’m suggesting. Also have been wanting to try this brand for a while now & they have a pair of denim in the sale!

…and if you can’t quit skinny jeans, this is the one pair I can get on board with.

The shoe selection leaves less to be desired IMO but if you’re looking for some chic rainboots, I can get behind these.

Love this oversized long sleeve tee–great now with shorts and later with denim. Similar in stripes. Also a great top if you’re nursing.

Cute sweatshirt & matching joggers.

I shared this wool coat in my Top 12 Nordstrom Picks (for USA) and am happy to see it’s available for Canadians! I have something really similar to this that’s a few years old that I still wear and love (as seen here).

A great olive shacket from one of my favourite brands.

Such good leggings–I own a pair from Alo and they are the only brand I’d spend this much on other than Lululemon. They have a cute matching top as well.

Looking to update your black pants? You need this front slit pair.

I love fall for the wardrobe and cooler temps, this quilted bomber would be a go to for running errands & walks. Would pair well with everything from denim to joggers.

These flares are giving me pulled together 70’s vibes.
