WEEKEND RECAP: IPHONE SNAPS

Happy Monday girls!  This weekend was great for relaxing and being somewhat productive.  I had no plans, other than having a couple of my girlfriends over for dinner on Friday night, so it was nice to just see where the weekend took us.

Let’s jump into the recap…

STRIPED SHORTS (SIMILAR, SOLID COLOUR)  |  ZARA WHITE SKORT (SIMILAR)  |  H&M DENIM SKIRT (SIMILAR)  |  ZARA POLKA DOT RUFFLE SHORT (SIMILAR)  |  SLIM FITTING TROUSERIN WHITE, YELLOW & TINY POLKA DOT  |  LACE DUSTER  |  ZARA COVER UP (SIMILAR)  |  OFF SHOULDER TIE BLOUSE  |  OFF SHOULDER RUFFLE TOP — ALSO AVAILABLE IN BLACK  |  ZARA POLKA DOT TOP  — SOLD OUT |  ZARA STRIPED PANTS — SOLD OUT (SIMILAR)  |  ZARA PRINTED PANTS

ROLLING RACK  |  GREY & ROSE GOLD HANGERS|  STRAW BAG (ON TOP)

I’ve been using my clothing rack to put any new purchases I want to wear, style or shoot for outfits.  Bonus, it’s across from me in my office so I’m always looking at it and being reminded of what I should put to use.

ZARA BELL SLEEVE TOP (SIMILAR)

Alright, so the yellow top I’m wearing is now sold out (sorry!) but I found something very similar and budget friendly here.

Like I mentioned last week, the Zara semi-annual sale is currently on and there are so many great deals to be had.  When we stopped in at the mall on the weekend, I quickly took another loop around to see again but I would highly suggest just shopping online.  They do free shipping over $50 and they have hundreds of items on sale.  I stocked up on a few statement tops and slim-fitting work pants (trousers), but don’t discount the shoe and outerwear section.  Currently have my eye on this gorgeous coat.

HEALTHY PANCAKES — I ALWAYS ADD OATS TO MINE NOW  |  SIMILAR MUG

TANK  |  LEGGINGS  |  HEADPHONES — THESE ARE WIRELESS & SO BADASS BUT MY BATTERY WAS DEAD SO I WAS USING THE CORD

On Saturday we hit the gym and that was a hard workout.  I’ve been seriously slacking (and lacking motivation) on the gym, and feeling so tired at the end of everyday.  It’s kind of a vicious cycle though, when you stop working out, your energy levels just drop off.  Add that to eating a few too many treats lately, I just needed to get back on the horse.

I tend to always kick off a workout hiatus with a leg/butt workout which always includes deadlifts, leg curls, lunges, etc.  When you work lower body, you get your heart rate up much quicker than upper body, tend to break a sweat a little more and since you’re engaging your core and often your back, you’re getting even more of a full body workout.  It definitely wasn’t an easy workout, and I was struggling, but it got done.

Afterwards, with  no plans in mind, we decided to meander around a few home stores and the mall before heading home to relax and watch the movie Sleepless (action packed, I really enjoyed it!).

We are currently working on a guest bedroom and saw the cute dresser above as an option.  It didn’t come home with us, but I wanted to take a pic to remember it and compare it to the floors to see how it would look.  I’m totally planning to get this duvet cover and we already purchased some gorgeous white sheets.  Going for a very airy and clean feel for that room.

Another little purchase, the soap dispenser above.  Grabbed that one at Home Sense for our master bathroom and also picked up the soap dish which I put in the shower along the little shelf/ledge.

SNEAKERS  |  LEGGINGS

On Sunday I got up and managed to be super productive–laundry, vacuuming and did all the dishes. We went out in the late morning, hit the gym and then totally spoiled that by indulging in my favourite crepes!

Afterwards, we ran over to Home Outfitters (in Kanata, for my local ladies) which is having a huge store-closing sale.  We got some glassware, pillows, and a few other odds and sods for the new place.

Hope you all had a great weekend and just five more days until the long weekend!  See you tomorrow. xo
