THE NORDSTROM ANNIVERSARY ITEMS I DIDN’T GET TO TRY ON + A TIP FOR GETTING ITEMS THAT HAVE SOLD OUT

Good morning, happy Friday and happy Nordstrom Anniversary Sale day!  I know there’s been a ton of hype over the sale, but today is the first day it’s open to the public, which is super exciting.

It’s also the day everything has most likely been restocked, so if you peeped early access and saw some of your fave items were sold out, they are likely now back in stock.  Honestly, things go fast with public access, so if you want something, snag it now before it’s gone.

A little tip I like to do is add everything I’m eyeing to my Wish List, which is accessible once you sign in on the Nordstrom site.  (1) It makes it super easy to get back to the product page, and (2) it gives you a quick glance of everything you want, plus will show as available if it gets restocked.

O U T F I T  D E T A I L S  :  PINK TIE SLEEVE SWEATERON SALE!  |  GREY SKINNY JEANSON SALE!  |  ALDO TAUPE BOOTIES (ALMOST IDENTICALON SALE!)  |  BAG  |  SUNGLASSES

This sweater was one of the first things I added to my Wish List when the sale opened up for early access and when I went to try it on, it was an immediate yes.  I love the bell sleeves with the grommets and tie detail, it’s slouchy and can easily be worn off the shoulder (or not) and it’s budget friendly coming in under $50.  It comes in a couple other colours too, which is always a plus if blush pink isn’t your thing.

The grey denim are a piece I wasn’t planning on trying, actually.  I saw them in the store when I went and figured, ‘Why not?’ and ended up falling in love.  I had an old pair of Zara grey denim, but they always slid down and never held their shape.  Paige denim runs true to size, but I have the same style in white and have found it stretches out over time.  For these I went with my usual size but if you can get away with going down one size, you might avoid that extra stretch.

Finally, the booties are an older pair from Aldo but these peep-toe booties that are part of the sale are almost identical.  I’ve worn these so much, and they just get better with age–easy to tromp around in, stylish but also somewhat practical with the thicker heel.

Lastly, I had put a ton of stuff on my Wish List but my store location in Ottawa didn’t have several of the items.  So personally, I’m excited for today myself so I can snag a few things that sold out before I had a chance to buy them since American early access was days before us Canadians.

And I know, I tried on a lot the other day, and I bought several items, but definitely not all of them, which is why adding things to your Wish List is ideal because it gives you an overview of what you want to try, maybe an overall look at your personal style and we all know just because you try it, doesn’t mean it will fit well or look nice.  All that to say, I’m sharing the pieces that were on my Wish List, that I didn’t get the chance to try on, below.
