Hellooo! And happy Monday!
We haven’t done a Weekend Recap since before Christmas, and I’m excited to bring these back for the new year. I know you girls like more personal posts, and I’ve been trying to be a little more open and share more on my outfit posts, but you’ve always told me you enjoy these recaps, so they will continue for 2018.
I don’t have a ton of photo evidence from the weekend, but aside from Saturday night, things were pretty low key…
On Saturday afternoon, Marco and I hit the gym–spot him in the background waiting on me? 😉 We used to workout together, but now we go together but do our own thing. We have different workout styles, plus our fave body parts to train are what the other doesn’t (chest for him, legs/butt for me), so it just works out better this way.
That said, I finished up before he was done so I hopped on the stair master for a little until he was done. I don’t even think I got five minutes in–I’m not big on the cardio, as I’ve mentioned before (although I totally should do it more). I’m wearing these leggings & my top is old, by the brand Head.

On Saturday night I went out to celebrate my friend and photographer, Lisa‘s birthday. Six of us went out for drinks, then dinner and eventually dancing.
We had a great time and the food at Datsun was phenomenal. Marco and I went there once in the summertime and I hadn’t been back, but I definitely need to get there again sooner than later!
On Sunday we slept in and spent the day recovering from the night out. I did some planning for some upcoming posts, vacuumed the upstairs, did a couple loads of laundry and made us dinner. It was a stay-in-your-sweats kinda day, which was perfect because the weather has been absolute crap and fah-reezing! #sendthebeach
The photo above was taken on New Year’s Eve at our friend’s place. They have the sweetest black cat named Onyx and he was such a little fur ball! I couldn’t resist snuggling him and he was so laid back, he didn’t mind at all. What a sweet heart.
Speaking of cats, I really want to transition our cat, Eve’s, litter box to another room in the house. It’s currently in our master bathroom and it was only supposed to be a temporary thing when we moved in. Fast forward eight months and it’s still there! It’s driving me bonkers everyday seeing it and stepping on kitty litter on the floor. We had planned to do it in the summer, but then she got sick and we didn’t want to disrupt her world more. All that to say, if you have any tips on how to make it a smooth transition of moving the litter box, I’d love to hear. You girls always know what you’re doing way more with this sort of thing than me, so I appreciate any insight.
I guess that’s it for now, I hope you all had a fantastic weekend and are staying warm if you’re part of this awful cold snap. As always, thanks for stopping by and see you tomorrow!
