I had been feeling a little stuck in a wardrobe rut recently but now that spring is here, it’s breathing life into my wardrobe! Just pulling on my open-toed heels from last year and sneakers on dry pavement are a breath of fresh air.
I recently did a little shopping as well and found a few new budget-friendly items I’m loving and wanted to post them here before they sell out!
OUTFIT ABOVE : BANANA REPUBLIC COAT (SIMILAR) | H&M LONG SLEEVE TEE (SIMILAR) | SISLEY JOGGERS (SIMILAR) | PERFORATED SANDALS | BAG
PAPERBAG WAIST CULOTTES / CROPPED PANTS
Okay confession, I tried these pants on in store & loved them… and didn’t buy them. Then I couldn’t stop thinking about them and staring at this pic so I purchased them online. Love!! I wore them yesterday with the black bodysuit I’m wearing in this pic and black sandals. Also plan to pair with a white tee like above & nude strappy sandals.
I had actually tried on these similar pink pants at Zara a month ago but the colour just wasn’t right on me. I was wishing they had them in an olive colour and then found these–hoorah!

BUDGET-FRIENDLY GIRLFRIEND JEANS
I’ve been on the hunt for a pair of girlfriend jeans for a while now; remember when I tried that designer pair in Tampa last November? It seems every pair I’ve tried on, they never look right on me. I always feel like they add volume to my legs and just don’t flatter me like a skinny jean does. However, I wasn’t ready to give up the hunt and am in love with the medium wash colour that is so on trend currently.
That said, I walked into the store the other day and made a beeline for these and loved them! They are high rise, the perfect colour and have a great distressing detail. They come in various lengths and the one I’m wearing above is the 32, however, my plan is to chop off the bottoms to get a raw hem. I love the look of a frayed edge on girlfriend jeans and really feel like they add to the style. I rolled one leg under and one up to give an idea of a more cropped length which flatters me better.
FREE PEOPLE CAMO JACKET — OLD (SIMILAR) | LONG SLEEVE TOP | DARK DENIM | SNEAKERS (BUDGET FRIENDLY) | SUNGLASSES | BAG
I wore this on the weekend and was excited to break out my camo jacket because it’s been a looooooong winter 😉
That said, this is totally my go-to weekend style; comfy but still somewhat pulled together. Sometimes I’ll wear heels on the weekend during the day, but since I’m in heels at work all week long, I like to take advantage of breaking out the sneakers.
Rompers and dresses are something that are often a miss for me–I’m tall so the proportions are often wrong or a regular length dress is mini on me and not in a good way. That said, when I actually do find one that isn’t riding up or fits in all the right places, it’s an immediate yes, like this romper (I’m wearing a large)! I actually sent a pic to Marco and got the heart eyed emojis, so that’s when I knew it was something I had to purchase. He’s pretty tight lipped when it comes to what I’m wearing, doesn’t pass much of an opinion ever, so if there’s an excited opinion, it’s coming home with me!
I will say this romper is very low cut, so I’ll be wearing it with this bra or these and definitely putting my double-sided tape to good use 😉 However, it’s perfect for date night or if we’re heading out on the town with friends or to a summer night party. Love that it’s under $35 too!
Let me know if you girls like these kinds of posts and I’ll keep them up. I usually wait till I photograph the pieces with my Photographer to share, but this is a fun way to see an item more casually before the actual outfit posts. Have a great day! xo
