Hey girls, I’m back for another round of the Weekend Recap and so wishing it wasn’t Monday! It was such a fun and event filled weekend, so let’s jump in…
On Friday night, I hit the gym and then headed home after work. We decided to head out to a local pub for dinner & to catch the Raptors game. I had the chicken brochette which is something I often order if I see it on a menu, and it was delish + what a win for the Raps!
The rest of the night was spent cleaning the house & getting ready for the next day.
Saturday morning healthy pancakes. I’ve been grinding up bran buds and adding them with my oatmeal mixture for my usual weekend pancakes. I’m currently reading about The F-Factor Diet and adding more fibre to my diet, and so far so good.
Afterwards, we shot our engagement photos! Ah! Our Photographer Lisa came over in the late morning and we got down to business. It was fun but stressful in advance just trying to coordinate it all, but turned out great. V excited to get the photos back and I will definitely share them here on the blog.
I saw this adorable pic on Pinterest that I was hoping we could emulate but of course Eve wasn’t having any of it.
Not sure if any photos of her turned out or not, but we wanted to incorporate the fur baby if we could 😉

Once we finished up our shoot, we changed and headed out to run some errands and grab lunch.
I’m obsessed with the salad/grain bowl at Pirho and Marco indulged me because a bowl of a bunch of stuff all mixed together is so not his jam. I was in heaven–I love these sorts of meals with tons of flavours and textures all at once.
That night, we had some friends over for our first monthly board game night!
We thought it would be fun to organize a drop-in game night of sorts, wherein we host monthly, and if you can make it, great! And if you can’t, that’s okay too/maybe the following month. Since we were only six, we decided at the last minute to do dinner and whipped up pasta, ceasar salad & garlic bread.
We played Cranium, Over the Line, Taboo & Happy Salmon–so fun! It was a great evening and looking forward to more in the coming months.

On Sunday morning we hit the gym and then grabbed a few groceries.
We spent the afternoon going through our home with my brother-in-law and parents to find all the ‘flaws’ for our one year home builders warranty (which is coming up in May!). Honestly, it wasn’t a fun task, but we got it done and I’m glad to have that looming to-do off my list 😉
Then Marco whipped up some incredible burgers for us and we enjoyed.
