A WINTER TRANSITION OUTFIT

Happy Sunday girls! Hoping on for a quick weekend post. I’m loving all the spring inspo we are seeing online (Bloggers, Insta, Pinterest, you name it!), but to be honest, we just got another dumping of snow! Ugh!

We aren’t out of the woods yet, and I can’t be alone, so instead of jumping into open toes just yet, I am sharing the kind of outfit you wear when there’s still snow but the mercury is a little higher and hopefully the sun is shining 😉

O U T F I T D E T A I L S : SHEARLING JACKET (SIMILAR, SIMILAR IN CREAM) | H&M SWEATER (ALMOST IDENTICAL, SIMILAR) | JEANS | BOOTS (LOVE THESE, SIMILAR, BUDGET FRIENDLY) | CELINE BAG (BUY PRE-OWNED)

This outfit is all about a few basics from your closet–a cozy grey sweater, dark denim, black boots–and a statement making jacket. I wore this jacket a ton last fall before we were hit with full on winter and was surprised how warm it actually is. I especially love the fact that the hemline is a little longer (goes halfway down the booty) which helps keep the cold out.

This is the kind of look I’d wear on the weekends, running errands or just heading out to wander around the outdoor mall. It’s comfortable, effortless but still looks pulled together. My girlfriend recently snagged this shearling moto jacket which is so gorgeous in person!

On a personal note, it feels so good to be sitting down at my computer writing this post on a weekend with zero plans! We really needed this one to rest after travelling–not complaining, obviously very very fortunate. I’m slowly getting all the laundry done, and trying to get my closet into an orderly fashion (the dresser in there is piled high with clothes in a heap; I love making a mess 😉 ), vacuuming and just getting the house tidy.

Yesterday, we took a trip down to our US postal box–you might have seen on IG Stories–and finally got our new kitchen stools! Ah! We put them together when we got home and they look really great. Will share soon. Was so nice waking up this morning and peering downstairs and seeing them there. We had our outdoor stools at the island for almost two years while I searched for the perfect stools, so it’s so nice to see a shape and colour (and proper height) there now. We are far from being done filling and decorating this house, but piece by piece feels like an accomplishment and is very exciting.

I’ve got a ton of posts that are half written, including our St. Lucia recap, Whistler recap, more outfits, wedding posts (!), and a couple packing posts. Try-On Tuesday this week is going to be a shoe heavy one, so stay tuned!

I hope you girls have a wonderful Sunday, and I’ll see you tomorrow! xo
