LEOPARD MIDI SKIRT WITH ANKLE BOOTS

It’s that weird time of year when in spring hasn’t fully arrived but you still need a jacket, especially in the shade. I’m so over my parka at this point, and my coworker and I have both agreed we’ve put them away for the rest of this winter!

That said, what to wear to work when the temperatures are still chilly but snow is melting and you want to break out some new spring trends is what today’s look is all about.

O U T F I T D E T A I L S : VINTAGE COAT (SIMILAR) | 3/4 SLEEVES BOATNECK TEE | H&M LEOPARD SKIRTSOLD OUT; ORIGINALLY SHARED HERE (SIMILAR, SIMILAR) | BLOCK HEEL BOOTIESOBSESSED & 50% OFFS! | CELINE BAG (BUY PRE-LOVED) | SUNGLASSES (BUDGET FRIENDLY)

Instead of waiting to pull out my more spring-like pieces, I’m wearing them now, paired with colder weather accessories (wool coat, ankle booties, sweaters, etc.) to tide me over.

Last week I wore a similar version to this outfit–my snake print skirt with a ribbed thin-knit sweater and pumps (debated doing an OTK boot, love that look also with a satin midi skirt). Come summer, it will be lightweight tees, tanks, a cami for date night and open toe heels for the win!

I also wanted to briefly touch on these booties! I finally got around to getting them in an official outfit post but most of you have already seen these from back in January. We definitely all love these boots, plus they are 50% off! They run a tad small, so I sized up to a 41 (however, at Zara I’m always a 41 if that’s any help), and are super comfortable. They have great grip on the bottom plus the block heel makes them perfect for wearing even if it’s snowy (officially tested and can report I was semi-running in a snowstorm and did not slip on my butt–it was freaking freezing though, hence the semi-run 😉 ). I also have sprayed these a couple times with a leather/suede spray (any kind will do) to ensure they last me as long as possible.

I hope you girls are having a great week. We have been loving our time on the west coast–split between Whistler and Vancouver. The weather has totally been on our side, so mild and such a gorgeous change from the last four months in Ottawa (voted the coldest capital city in the world; fun fact, Ottawa is the capital of Canada). We are headed back home today and I will share a full recap of the trip + what I packed.

Hope you have a great one! xo
