It’s the most wonderful tiiiiiiime of the year! Haha, you girls know I love the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale and the catalog dropped a couple weeks ago and I’m so excited to shop this one, just like the last three years.
If you’re new, the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, it’s an annual sale that happens every July where they bring brand new fall merchandise out and put it on sale for just two weeks (up to 40% off)! Afterwards, everything goes back up to full price for the fall season.
Today I’m answering all your questions about the sale, important dates, how to get early access and more. My overall idea is to help you navigate the sale, find the best items and score them before they sell out. I know you girls have enjoyed shopping the sale together in year’s past, and this round will be no different.

While I round up several different sales throughout the year, this is the one I shop (and save for) the most because the discounts are so huge. It’s the best time to snag pieces for your wardrobe, or even gifts–no matter your budget. There are great basics on sale, shoes, beauty products, workout gear and then there are also things like designer denim (my personal fave), coats for fall and winter, bags and more to look out for.

EARLY ACCESS & HOW TO SHOP IT
If you have a Nordstrom credit card, you can get early access to shop the sale a week before the public.
Americans get early access on July 12th. Canadians get early access on July 16th.
I got a card two years ago and have loved going in advance, where the merchandise is fully stocked and the stores aren’t as busy. It’s also beneficial if you want to avoid the stores altogether and just shop online the morning it opens. While I’m not going to sit here and say you need to get this credit card to shop the sale, if you’re in the market for one, it’s an option to consider.

Apply for the card before July 10th and get a $60 credit to use during the sale!
Alternatively, (Americans only) can sign up for the Nordstrom retail card (like a debit card) to get in for Early Access as well (plus earn cash back!).

SHOP FROM HOME
I will be going into the store and trying a bunch of things to share with you girls, but if crowds and sifting through racks on racks isn’t your thing, shop from the comfort of home (plus a better chance to score something before it sells out–things do tend to go quick). Nordstrom does free shipping or you could even do the curbside pick-up where you place your order, choose your store and pick it up (also free of charge).
Tip: Each store is different and will carry different inventory, but online has it all.
I will be covering the sale just like previous years with my wish list prior to the sale, a fitting room try-on, what I purchase, and more! Bookmark this page to find all things sale related and of course if you are a LIKEtoKNOW.it app user, follow me there to see all the shop-able looks and items in one easy place (full tutorial on how to use it here).
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What will be on sale?
Thousands of items ranging from women’s clothing, men’s clothing (love these joggers for him), children’s clothing, beauty, shoes, and more.
Do items get restocked during the sale?
Sometimes, but not always. I’ve seen things sell out on the first day, and not be restocked, and other times they are. Last year my store didn’t carry these mules I was lusting after, and they were sold out on the first day and never came back (should have ordered them online before going to the store–ugh!). I was so disappointed. That said, do favourite your items online and keep an eye because people do make returns and sometimes you can score something that way!
Is there a promo code?
No, and all items in the sale will be highlighted under a special tab on the site where you will see the sale price and what the original price will be once the sale is over on August 5.

What kind of posts will you be doing?
I will be sharing all the amazingness of the sale here on the blog. I will be doing a full favourites post in the afternoon of July 12th (once the sale is open for Early Access members), broken down by category, to make it super easy to shop if you have early access in the USA.
When the sale opens for early access on July 16th for us Canadians, I will be sharing my in-store finds on Instastories + will be doing a full round up of everything I tried on, sizing notes & more; just like last year!
I’ll also be sharing with you every piece I purchased, how to style it, a haul video and more, so check back frequently & let me be your resource for the sale. I’ve also dedicated a page for all things #NSALE 2019 here, so bookmark that if you’d like to make it super easy to check back on where we’re at.
What types of items will you be buying?
Designer denim (but also need to try these budget friendly jeans–they look so good!), anything Free People, investment pieces, affordable basics, activewear, boots, affordable but gold plated jewelry (obsessed with this necklace) & coats are my go-to’s.
Is what you see in the catalog, what will be on sale?
Yes, but way more as well. The catalog is just a small slice of all the items that are new and on sale. Plus, I find the catalog is dedicated to really trendy and flashy items, whereas there are tons of core basics that will be part of the sale too. This year Nordstrom is keeping everything really tightly under wraps too–whereas last year they showed us a lot more. I’m excited to see what else they have in store for us!
It’s going to be a busy and exciting few weeks!
PREVIOUS YEARS
This is my fourth year shopping the sale and each year I’ve shared tons and tons of blog posts on how things fit, how I styled the pieces, what I purchased, my top picks and more.
