QUICK DATE NIGHT LOOK

life with aco, gucci bag and white wedges

I don’t know about you girls, but if you work in an office like me, I find myself separating my ‘work clothes’ from my ‘weekend clothes’, when in reality, they can often be intermixed.

While getting ready to go out for dinner with Marco the other night, I was quickly reminded of that when I saw this top hanging in my closet. I wear this piece to work a lot, but always ‘backwords’ so it’s a boat-neck versus the deep v you see here. However, turn it around and throw some distressed denim (weekend appropriate), and it’s perfect to head out the door!

O U T F I T D E T A I L S : SHEIN TOPOLD (SIMILAR) | H&M DENIM — OLD (SIMILAR, SIMILAR) | WEDGES | BAG | SUNGLASSES

Do you girls remember when I bought these jeans last summer? I was totally on the fence about the straight leg style, and now I’m obsessed (I cut the hem myself). These are also a little looser everywhere (including the waist, which is perfect for me) which make them great for those days you just don’t want to be in something skin tight, but still want the look of denim. I’m trying to find more straight leg styles–preferably something non-distressed so I can wear it to work. Anyway, random chattiness but yeah.

I totally stole these sunglasses from Marco’s closet–he’s finally found something that fits his face and of course since I have a pretty wide face myself, why not share, right? 😉 I had been eyeing these ones from Quay forever but really love the classic Ray Bans.

Lastly, I just want to quickly touch on the out pour of love on my ‘return’ (haha, what a word) yesterday to Instagram Stories and here on the blog. It’s not been easy to come back–and I put this weird pressure on myself telling myself I needed to come back sooner than later, but at the same time, truly needed the break… and have to say, I enjoyed it. Social media has made me really anxious sometimes (not all the time) in the past, and just letting go over the last couple months and focusing on my health was what I needed to do. I truly couldn’t control it, so I had to (as my Dad said), ‘Be patient with my body’. Wow, is that ever hard to do when you’ve never had to before, but it’s been a learning curve (that I am still climbing). All that to say, even if you didn’t reach out, that’s totally fine but thanks for reading and being here (and thank you x 100 if you did!). We truly are a small but tight crew and I appreciate you.

Hope you have a great Fourth of July weekend (if you’re American), and a great day xo
