On January 8th, a week and a day after my due date, we welcomed our baby boy, Hendrix!
We had been anxiously awaiting his arrival since New Year’s Eve, and no signs until the morning of January 8th, when I started having contractions when I woke up. He was born later that night, weighing 8 pounds, 7 ounces, and we have been soaking in the newborn phase ever since.
The past month and a bit have been all about laying in, slow days, loving on our little man, few visitors, healing and adjusting. We are so over the moon about our new addition–the joy has been overwhelming at times, and it’s a whole new world!
