Alright ladies, the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is just days away and I’ve been waiting for this sale for months–well, to be honest, since last year, because it is so killer!
I wanted to put together a little prep post because last year was my first year shopping the sale, and I wish I had a little more intel, so let’s jump in!

WHAT IS THE NORDSTROM ANNIVERSARY SALE?
The #NSALE is a huge sale that happens once a year where brand new fall merchandise, that has never been on the floor before, is up to 40% off for three weeks. Afterwards, it goes back up to full price, just in time for the new season.
WHEN DOES THE SALE START?
July 13 (USA) & July 18 (Canada) | Early Access for card holders
July 20 | Last day of early access
July 21 | First day open to the public
August 6 | Last day of the sale
WHAT IS EARLY ACCESS?
Nordstrom card holders, those who have a Nordstrom Credit Card, can shop the sale early. Purchases do need to be put on the card, but you get even more points. This goes for online and in the special, roped-off section of the store.

HOW CAN I SHOP THE SALE?
First, I will be sharing all the amazingness of the sale + my picks on here on the blog on July 13th to get you amped for early access.
Additionally, I’ll be shopping the Canadian early access sale myself on July 18, so be sure to follow along on my Instastories (I’m @lifewithaco) to see all the goodies I’m trying on and live coverage of the sale!
On July 21st, you can access the sale online and in stores, but don’t worry, I’ll be doing a special post that day rounding up the best of the best so you’re ready to shop efficiently!
I’ll also be sharing with you every piece I purchased, how to style it, a haul video and more, so check back frequently, it’s going to be a busy and exciting few weeks!
THREE WAYS TO SHOP THE SALE
(1) In store. Battling the crowds will be chaotic, and trying to get a fitting room is intense. Tip: wear leggings and a tank in case you can’t get into a room.
(2) Order online (free shipping & free returns for my US ladies!).
(3) Order online & pick up in store—so convenient. Avoid the crowds and chaos! #yasss

BRANDS TO LOOK FORWARD TO ON SALE
I’ve already pined through the catalog and am seeing things I will definitely be bringing home. That said, a few brands I love and that are included in the sale are Rag & Bone, Halogen, AG Jeans, Sam Edelman, Frame, Topshop, Dolce Vita & All Saints.
IS IT REALLY WORTH IT?
Yes! Times one hundred.
Last year I made out like a bandit, and scored some killer pieces that I wore all Fall, into the winter and am still loving this summer (ahem, this amazing moto jacket seen here, here, here & here).
The sale is so crazy, things sell out on the first day of public access (which is fully stocked after Early Access). I made a couple trips back after the first day there, and it was crazy how picked over it was. Not just saying this, truly mean it. There were still plenty of items, but the sizing was limited. Some items will be restocked, but others are more of a, once-they’re-gone-they’re-gone case.
So if there is something you’ve lusting after like crazy, BUY IT. You can always return it, but if it sells out, you’ll be SOL.
