PRINTED DRESSES FOR SPRING

1 person, girl wearing paisley dress

Summer is here–well, I guess technically it’s still spring–and today it’s all about affordable dresses for work or weekends.

You girls know I have the hardest time finding dresses.  Everything tends to run pretty short on me since I’m tall, but when I do find something that works, I scoop it up immediately.  I snagged this paisley printed dress last summer but never blogged about it (wore it for our second annual crab boil).  I love the easy silhouette and the flounce bell sleeves.  Dresses that offer some breathing room, if you know what I mean, are what I often go for.

My outfit is all older pieces from my closet, and I feel a tad bad, but also it’s real life.  Right now especially with wedding planning and the house, it’s a teeter totter of what I can and should spend on–the expenses are real, I’m tellin’ ya!  I also enjoy re-wearing pieces I already own, so never think I only wear new items because that’s what you see on the blog, I just want to wear the newest pieces so you can the opportunity to snag them too if you like them.  That said, this dress is super similar to mine and so budget-friendly too!

When it comes to dress for the warmer weather, I’m all about dresses that can transition from work to weekend.  Sleeves are definitely my go to (especially if a hemline is slightly shorter), but not always the best option for when it gets really hot.  If you’re looking for dresses that will work for all walks of life, I would suggest something with a tank style strap–this way you can pair with a cardigan, blazer or drapey vest for work, and then go bare on the weekends or throw on a denim jacket.

Sharing a ton of budget friendly, printed dresses below in the widget–this one and this one are in my shopping cart.  Love!
