taco night at a table, hot sauce

Good morning & happy Memorial Day if you’re in the US & happy Monday if you’re everywhere else 😉

This weekend was fun so let’s jump into the snaps…

We spent Saturday early afternoon tux shopping for Marco (with no luck yet), before heading home to prepare to have some friends over.

Last month, we decided to start a monthly games night, and this past weekend was the second one!  We doubled in numbers this time, with 12 of us, and did a guys vs. girls evening with a few board games.  If you saw on my Instastories, it was definitely a hoot!

We also decided to go with a Mexican theme for food and did pulled pork tacos in the slow cooker.  Our friends brought chips & queso, salsa & sour cream and a huge hit–obviously–were the churros my bestie and her hubby brought (eep!).

On Sunday morning, I met up with some girlfriends for brunch.  We did the same brunch get together a year ago here.

Afterwards, I meandered around the stores before eventually heading home and cleaning up from the night before.  The kitchen was a disaster, but by the time everyone left around 2am, I was too tired to clean it all.  I usually get into the zone once everyone leaves and clean everything up, because I mean, is there anything better than waking up to a clean house?  Love it.  However, not this weekend, I took the lazy route and just hit the sack.

1 person, selfie fitting room, girl wearing red dress

I tried on this dress and was shocked that it was actually long enough on me!  The smocking at the top is so pretty, love the off shoulder detail and the slit.  I’m wearing a size medium.

If the red is too loud, it also comes in a navy blue & a floral print.

1 candle, coconut sandalwood, bath and body works candle

And finally, Bath & Body Works was having a huge sale on their 3-wick candles.  I try not to go too crazy but did want to get some new summery scents.  I also had a 25% off coupon (sign up for their email list for this) which brought each candle to under $9.

My favourite candle is Mahogany Coconut, but they were completely out.  I found new scents though that are awesome, including this new Coconut Sandalwood, which smells like a resort down south, and Sun-Washed Citrus, which reminded me of the Satsuma line at The Body Shop  #nom.

Hope you girls had a great weekend!!
