Canada Day (July 1st) is right around the corner, and while I know we are about half American and half Canadian here (plus some Europe & Australia! I see you 😉 ), I wanted to share a special outfit for the upcoming holiday weekend here in my home country. We actually don’t have plans yet, but usually it involves some sort of BBQ with friends, and I’m excited because I’m actually on holidays next week, so this is the perfect kick off to that!
Canada Day always consists of some sort of red and white attire, and if we are doing the BBQ thing, I’d likely be in flats, but wanted to share a slightly more dressed up chic version of that. My top is now sold out but I just ordered this one, which would work for the Fourth of July as well (will be sharing a separate round up of all the amazing Fourth sales next week!). The skirt is one I shared in this try-on haul & this video, and I love it! It’s high waisted and the distressing is so good. It looks designer and way more expensive than just $34! I am wearing a size 8 and it’s a good fit, but keep in mind this denim is stiff and doesn’t give much.
This cage bag is the one I talked about on Instastories–if you missed that one, essentially, I ordered this bag on February 1st to have it for our trip to Mexico, and it never arrived. I went back and forth with the company (through eBay), and felt like they were jerking me around. They said they would refund me a small portion of what I paid ($4–?!) and send another bag in the mail if I would just keep waiting. At the 3.5 month mark, I requested a refund and with no bag in sight and no communication, eventually had to open up a complaint. They finally refunded me my money and a month later, the bag showed up in the mail! All that to say, I wouldn’t recommend them per say, but I love this cute bag and the price tag (over the designer version). This one looks even better and the price is great!
