I’m back with another summer-ready outfit and this one is perfect for grabbing lunch with a friend or even heading out with your man. I shared this dress on my Instastories Try-On Haul & in my Summer Haul video–it’s so cute and easy to wear!
Since the dress is pretty flowy, I belted it to give it some shape, but it looks great if you just let it do it’s thang, as well. I figured since I was heading out to meet up with a girlfriend, I would throw on a belt to cinch the waist and out the door I ran.
O U T F I T D E T A I L S : FLORAL DRESS — UNDER $30! | BAMBOO CIRCLE BAG | BRACELETS | ALDO WEDGES — OLD (SIMILAR, SIMILAR) | VINTAGE BELT (SIMILAR, SPLURGE/ALMOST IDENTICAL) | SIMILAR NECKLACE | SUNGLASSES
I talked a little bit about this bamboo circle bag in this post, and am totally onboard this trend. It’s such a cute way to inject a little bit of summer style into your wardrobe, and this is a bag you can wear anywhere and with most of your casual to chic pieces. Pair it with dresses, denim shorts, jeans and a tank or bring it to the beach even to rock with your swimsuit when you go grab a bite. Also, this one is super budget friendly so won’t break the bank.
How is your week going? It’s been sweltering hot here and I’ve been enjoying the heat (and mostly shaded spots) on my lunch break. I always try to get out of the office, when I can, and get some fresh air, maybe take a walk or just enjoy the sunshine. Summer is so, so short here in Ottawa, I want to make the most of it.
Also to note–I have blonde hair again! If we’re friends on Insta, you know I went back to blonde over a month ago, but I had a couple outfits still lined up for the blog with my old hair. However, it was definitely time to add some brightness back into my hair after almost two years of doing nothing to it. Maybe I should do a post on my hair because the last four years have been trying and working at recovering the damage I did in bleaching it for over a decade. All that to say, I wanted to add some blonde back in, and figured I would try it now, and either (a) find a new Stylist I loved, or at least (b) be grown out by our October wedding to have the look I’m going for (balayaged with some blonde). She did a great job, I’m definitely blonder than anticipated, but have totally gotten used to seeing the blonde around my face once again. I’m still not sure what I’ll do for the wedding, but am also considering getting extensions but need to explore my options. I don’t want to ruin my hair, plus I’m pretty fine to begin with, but my clip in extensions (which I’m pretty much always wearing in my blog posts) do tend to give me a bit of a headache after several hours and I’m always worried they are showing! Anyway, just random thoughts swirling around my brain.
See you tomorrow! xo
