Hello hello & happy Monday!
It’s technically still a weekend here in Canada, as it’s a long weekend. If you saw Instastories this morning, you knew that 😉 so after a little relaxing, a workout and getting some food into me, I’m ready to get these snaps up for you girls. Let’s jump in!
On Friday I had seen those flats above online and when I popped into the store they have one left in my size! Such a score because I have the hardest time finding anything at Zara, despite really loving it. The flat slingbacks are brand new so jump on them if you like them because I think they are going to go quick. I have a similar pair in black from last year and love wearing them at the office when I don’t feel like wearing heels or need a pedicure 😉

On Friday night we celebrated my best friend Sarah’s birthday.
She threw a party at a restaurant for dinner and mingling and there were over 30 people–such a great turn out and fun time!
On Saturday morning, I made some healthy pancakes and we hit the road to head up to cottage country.
Our friend invited us and a bunch of others up for the weekend to his family’s cottage and we had a great time. We swam, boated, wakeboarded and more. Great turnout with about 20 people and had a BBQ at night.
I recently shared my favourite hair products, and had to replenish my favourite leave in conditioner and dry shampoo.
I also picked up this new shampoo for blondes on Friday, which someone had recommended to me on Instagram. When the sales associate at the store told me it was $32, I quickly returned it to the shelf, haha. She then started raving about how it’s the only blonde shampoo she uses it’s the best for cutting any brassiness and she only needs to use it once a week, if that. Plus she said she’d include it into a promo for me so that sealed the deal.
Our water has a ton of minerals in it, and I can see the toll it’s taking on my hair already (hello yellow!). I figured I would give it a shot, because if it’s amazing and it works, it will be worth it, plus I’ll be alternating it with my usual shampoo. After washing it last night, I can say my first impression is really good, my hair looks way more beige blonde than yellow and I like the way it made my hair feel. Will follow up in six months or so and let you girls know if I’m still loving.
And finally, my girlfriend took me out to Lexington for dinner the other night as a belated birthday treat. (You can see a recap of my actual birthday weekend here) The atmosphere and service was excellent, and we had a really great time. Start with the deep fried pickles–they are sooo good!
