Happiest of Mondays–I hope you’re having a great day thus far. I’m definitely feeling the effects of a busy weekend–tried! On my way to that second coffee 😉
On Friday night, we went over to our friend’s place and met some new friends there. They had an amazing spread and drinks and we laughed and chatted the night away. It was as great way to kick off the weekend, but no pictures because I try to keep my phone away when I’m out with friends.
Saturday, though, is what the picture above is from. My girl friend and I took a trip down to New York state to pick up a few items at my PO box–including these really cute fur mules! I actually tried these on during our trip to Tampa (get this), two years ago! So annoyed I didn’t just purchase them then. Anyway, better late than never–and clearly I’m still loving the style.

These are a total dupe for the Gucci ones but I don’t mind, I’m not fully invested in the trend and love that these are under $30.

On Saturday night, we went to Ottawa Winter Brewfest with my girl friend, which was a nice evening out. Similar to the Wine & Food Show, but more casual, various breweries set up their vendor booths and you could purchase tokens to try them. There were a few food options and a DJ playing; overall a nice evening out.
We ended up finding this cute ice bench which is part of Ottawa’s annual Winterlude festivities, so we snapped a quick pic (seriously quick, my butt was freezing!).

And finally, on Sunday I went to a baby shower for a girl friend (remember this wedding we went to last year?). It was hosted at the mom-to-be’s parent’s place and there were tons of women. Great food, drinks and the traditional baby shower games.
The evening was low key–some laundry, some cleaning, the usual before relaxing before bed. Hope you girls had a great one!
