Good morning! As promised on Stories last week, I’m back to recap the weekend–it’s been a while but I’d like to bring these back regularly again since we did them for many, many years. I know you girls have told me you enjoy them, but even I enjoy looking back on them.
Funny story, this past weekend Marco and I were trying to figure out what we had served at a dinner we hosted with some friends last summer, and sure enough, the Weekend Recap came through with the answer!
Anyway, let’s jump in…
Friday night was super low key and I came home from work and just chilled. We watched the movie, Hotel Mumbai, which was absolutely heartbreaking, shocking and terrifying. It was really well done, but it’s based on a true story and really shakes you. If you’re looking for a feel-good movie, this is not it.
We recently picked up a new Keurig machine. Our old one kicked the bucket and while we do love our Nespresso machine, we still use the Keurig a lot.

On Saturday we grabbed some breakfast and poked around Winners and Home Sense–always on the hunt for any new pieces for the house. No luck that day but was nice to be out and about on a hot day.
That night, we headed out to the Black Dog Bistro for dinner and were in heaven! I had the French onion soup followed by their burrata and berry salad (not pictured) and it was so good!
I wore the same thing as above, to be honest, just threw on these heels and this drapey cardigan + some lipstick.
Sunday was a chill day–breakfast in bed and some cleaning/laundry. We went for a walk in the afternoon around the neighbourhood and just relaxed.
I started prepping my stuff for Try-On Tuesday and my girl friend came over for dinner later on.
Since it’s been a while, I thought I would share a couple snaps from last weekend as well. We had our monthly game night with friends and Marco did pork carnitas in the slow cooker and we played a bunch of fun games late into the night:
