LAZY GIRL’S OATMEAL

I’ve always been a fan of oatmeal for breakfast—it’s hearty, healthy and fills you up. Plus you can make it as fancy or plain as you want, and is relatively inexpensive.

The other day, I shared how I make my morning oatmeal everyday (on IG Stories, now saved to my highlights). I’m usually holding the baby trying to scarf down something quick and this recipe is perfect for that.

Let’s jump in…

Easy Morning Oats

aka Lazy Girl Oatmeal 😛

Ingredients:

3/4 cup oats
Handfull dried cranberries
Handfull pecans
2 tbsp. ground flaxseed
3 tbsp. hemp hearts
A generous shake of cinnamon

To be honest, you can get as creative or basic with the ingredients as you want. Fresh or frozen fruit works great as well, as do chia seeds and almond slices. Add what you enjoy.

Boil some water–I like to use the Keurig because it’s quick and easy, but a kettle is great too.

Assemble your ingredients into a bowl. I eye ball everything depending on how hungry I am that morning–so the measurements above are just a loose estimate to help.

Once your water is boiled, pour it over your bowl and mix. Let it stand for a couple minutes & enjoy. Optional: pour milk on top (I prefer almond).

Enjoy!
