Spring is in the air & I’ve been filling my online carts with all the items I want to refresh my wardrobe for 2021.
I’m talking a great pair of slides for summer (to replace always wearing sneakers), high waisted shorts with a longer inseam, 90’s style sunglasses, swimwear that’s on sale & everything but skinny jeans 😉
Sharing what’s in my current carts after the jump…
I’m la la loving the shorter, cropped tops currently, especially since everything is high waisted–so it’s not so much showing your mid section, it’s more your rib area, if anything. I just snagged the light lime boxy tee and the dark grey flowy top this week and love. I went with a small for both, as they fit oversized, so it’s a good fit (so size down).
The white long sleeve is something I already have in pink, in a medium–it’s such a great basic, love the white for spring.
That baby blue soft knit is so gorgeous, would be great worn backwards as well with denim or a high waisted skirt. The off shoulder top is sooo pretty for a date night or just to dress up your denim, and I love a longline sports bra and wear mine daily under my regular clothes.
There is a major swimwear sale happening on all the tops I’ve shared above, use code STYLE at checkout for up to 25% off–it’s the perfect time to snag one of the pricier suits you may be eyeing. I loooove l*space, they fit so well and I’ve invested in a few sets over the last couple years. I wear a size large in tops and bottoms, and if you’re slightly larger chested, the wired v top I tagged above, is great because it offers a little support.
Next, that little straw bag (almost out of stock!) is so unique, love that as a summer bag or for your next beach trip, and I just ordered those 90’s style sunnies (under $20–can’t go wrong) to for a budget-friendly way to update any wardrobe.
Do you girls remember the shorts I shared last spring in my Try-On Tuesday post? We literally sold them out (!!!) which has never happened when I’ve shared something before–but they are such at steal, and they’re often on sale, like now, for under $20. When I purchased last year, I was two months post partum and went up two sizes (and was squeezing into them; however, they’ve got a ton of stretch). This year, I’ve re-ordered in a size that fits so I’m excited they’ve brought them back!
If you’re looking for more of an investment pair of shorts, the four pairs on the bottom are gorgeous and all part of the sale this week (use code STYLE at checkout for up to 25% off). The athletic pair are something I’ve been eyeing for a few months–love how high waisted they are, plus they come in 8+ colours!
Okay, let’s talk pants. I’m sure you’re well aware that skinny jeans have been deemed ‘out’ by Gen Z 😛 and while I do love a good skinny, I’m not mad at the new trends we are seeing — flares, wide leg and straight leg! Even sweatpants are jumping on the bandwagon and I’m loving the wide leg styles. If you’re uncertain, try starting with a slim, cropped straight leg, like the ones above. They are a good gateway jean to the others, and will instantly update your wardrobe.
POINTED TOE LACE UP HEELS + LOOK FOR LESS OPTION 1 & OPTION 2 | SUEDE FLATFORMS | CROC EMBOSSED SLIDES | WHITE WOVEN SLIDES | SNEAKERS | TAN LACE UP HEELS | WHITE ANKLE WRAP SANDALS | COGNAC WOVEN MULES | PUFFY MULES
Lastly, it wouldn’t be a spring wish list without shoes–oh heels, remember heels?! I feel like I haven’t worn heels in a year, but then again, we’ve been in and out of lockdown (aka restaurants aren’t even an option to go out on a date), plus when I do go out to run errands, I now have a baby in tow and am constantly sliding into my sneakers.
That said, I can’t deny my love for a good lace up heel (in preparation to leave on a date asap!), the woven and puffy mules that are everywhere right now & cute slides that are nicer than your basic athletisure style, but will still be comfy to run around in.
Hope you girls enjoyed this post and found it helpful to maybe try a few new trends this spring. I’ll share what I’ve snagged soon on Stories and aim to get everything into a try-on post here too. Chat soon xo
