And it’s Monday. So not ready for the weekend to end, but here we are so let’s jump into the recap.
On Friday night, we went in search for Korean BBQ (which is V hard to find in Ottawa), and stumbled upon a new spot on Merivale Road. I can’t remember the name but will update here when I do–it’s near Nicastro, if you’re local.
Anyway, we had a good meal, but it was a Japanese BBQ over Korean, so various elements were quite different, but still good nonethless (totally missed my kimchi though!).

On Saturday morning I was up super early to get my hair done.
It had been two years since I last touched it with colour, and was totally overdue. I had a bad experience last time; I had asked for blonde balayage and turned out more brunette than I went in. When I went back three weeks later to correct it, she turned me quite gold/dark blonde which I tried to colour correct with allllllll the purple shampoo, which turned certain pieces of my hair a lovely shade of blue (not; also not something I documented on here 😉 ). It sucked. And so I lived with it… and then it started to grow out and I liked it. But now, it was totally overdue.
I found someone new, and decided to give it a shot. I’m definitely very blonde, a little moreso than I think I anticipated, but am really pleased with her work. It’s taking some getting used to–I mean, I used to be super blonde (also here) for 10 years–having so much blonde near my face, but I think it’s going to grow out just enough to be perfect by the wedding in October.

After hair, I met up with Marco and we scooted down to the New York state to pick up a few things from our US Postal box, including my wedding shoes! Sadly, they were too small, so I packed them back up and shipped them back.
I managed to find them in a bigger size, on sale, but haven’t pulled the trigger yet. They are definitely uber comfy as the reviews say they are.

I spent the afternoon washing my car and cleaning up the garage. It was a gorgeous, hot and sunny day.
I brought out the portable speaker, turned up the tunes & just enjoyed the sunshine.

That night, we went out to get Ramen and then saw Deadpool 2 (so good!).

And finally, Sunday was a productive and boring day. If you saw my Stories, you saw I spent a ton of time organizing my closet & laundry. The laundry was piling up! I got it all done, folded and put away and we caught game 2 of the NBA finals.
Also had a major sweet craving so whipped up some oatmeal cookies that were so chewy and delicious (and not healthy whatsoever).
