Another day, another monochromatic look 😉

For me, all black isn’t reserved to colder months, I still rock it in the summertime and I think there is something really chic and pulled together when pairing black, summery pieces with some skin.

Alright girls, this is the first post with my new Rag & Bone black skinnies and I’m pumped.  I actually wore them to work the other day too, with this sweater from last year as it was a cooler day.  Safe to say I’m loving them and especially the amount of stretch they have and the mid-high rise waist.

I have been on the hunt for a designer pair for a while, and have a few pairs of H&M and Zara in my closet that I have worn the crap out of.  They are getting faded and aren’t looking their best, so when I saw these would be part of the sale, they immediately were in my top three items.  The black is super pigmented and there is a raw hem.  They are slightly cropped (more so on me, being tall) and fit true to size.  I will say I went with my normal size (30), but they are pretty snug–not sure if I’ve been eating too many treats lately or if they just run a tad snugger.  I didn’t want to size up though, as I know they will stretch out over time and be perfect.

As for the cami, like I said in my closet faves post, I ended up caving and getting this in black as well (already have it in white).  It’s just such a great closet basic, versatile and budget friendly, I couldn’t pass it up.  Plus it was the last one on the rack.  Unfortunately, it’s sold out online and from what I’ve been hearing, Nordstrom isn’t restocking any items for the sale.  UGH!  This means items will only be restocked if there is a return, but nothing in all sizes until prices go back up on August 6th.  All that to say, if there is something you’re eyeing now but hesitating, if you think you’ll kick yourself later, get it as you might risk losing the opportunity.  You can always return as they have a fantastic policy.  This is the first year they have done this and it’s too bad.

Oh!  And happy Friday!  We are hosting our monthly game night with friends tomorrow night which I’m looking forward to.  We were planning on hosting a daytime BBQ party that would run into the night, but it’s looking like rain in the afternoon so indoor evening games it is.  Hope you girls have a great weekend!
